Chloroprene rubber (CR) was the earliest of the volume synthetic rubbers. Compounds from Chloroprene exhibit fair oil resistance, good ozone and weather resistance. Due to the excellent resistance to refrigerants such as Freon, Chloroprene compounds are used in refrigeration systems. The sealing temperature range for these compounds is -50°C to +140°C.
