Fluoroelastomers (FKM/FPM) exhibit excellent resistance to petroleum products, low compression set and high temperature resistance, however the low temperature capability is restricted. Special formulations may be offered to enhance either the low or high temperature performance. The normal service temperature range is -20°C to +204°C.

FKM/FPM covers a family of compounds with each particular grade being tailored to solve particular application issues. Most FKM/FPM compounds would be a special order, however general purpose grades are commonly available as O-ring, X-ring, washer, gasket, sheet and strip.
