Carboxylated Nitrile
Available products: O-rings, Vulcanised joined cord rings, Washers, Gaskets, Sheet, Strip, Mouldings, Extrusion, O-ring cords
Carboxylated Nitrile (XNBR) is Nitrile with a carboxyl group added to the formulation. This addition results in improved tear and abrasion resistance, but at the cost of higher compression set. XNBR is often specified for dynamic applications. However, for new applications Hydrogenated Nitrile is preferred over XNBR. The normal service temperature range is -20°C to +125°C.
